This clip points to the complexity of the community and its work. Self-reflexivity
reveals the community/ project idyll as vulnerable. Ben doesn't want the memories to
be spoilt.
One of three sources for performance in CL3 was called “100 memories”. A room in Caer
Llan was given over to being the memory room (an antonym to Orwell’s room 101, perhaps)
where the research group were asked to place memories of Caer Llan. Using this as a
fulcrum, groups chose to work in a range of styles. This group chose a form of self-mimesis,
repeating in performance the discussions they had on first debating Caer Llan and their
memories.
