The Years Pass

Ideas behind the work:

This was an Individual Response (see Appendix E: Individual Response) to Caer Llan in the final year of the Trilogy, CL3, 2004. Each layer of the house represents a different year of my recent engagement with Caer Llan. The top sees husband David smoking and drinking, reminiscent of a cocktail party held on that balcony in 2000 (in the middle of a tour before the research trilogy). Below him is designer Keith preparing the huge tablecloth, as in CL1, 2002 (See Picnic. Below again is Steve who first came to Caer Llan in 2003 for CL2 to act as an outside research eye. Finally, is Nina who came for the final year (CL3, 2004) as a craft tutor working with the MA group.
