Daily living
This set of stills shows aspects of ‘everyday living’ at Caer Llan including
meals, relaxing, games (including croquet – subsequently used for a performance
piece), swimming and so on. These daily operations are barely visible in the
research documentation as they were not deemed of great import at the time. Such
taken-for-granted activities assumed more importance in retrospect when analysing
the performance of place as the practising of the everyday (pace De Certeau, 1984).
